Alpha Phi Beta Rho has a strong presence within the Pullman community and loves to better our community through community service and volunteering. Participating in community service not only makes a difference to those being served, but also makes a difference in our members’ lives. Alpha Phi believes that community service and volunteering enables our members to gain life skills and knowledge, all while providing service to those who need it most. Through helping those in need, Alpha Phi members develop civic and social responsibility skills and become more aware of what our community needs. Volunteering is very important to Alpha Phi because it engages our members within the community, creates special bonds with the population being served, and increases social awareness and responsibility. Volunteering also helps members enhance their personal knowledge, grow from new experiences, and develop better interpersonal communication skills. Without participating and serving our community, our time as members within Alpha Phi would be very different and less fulfilling.
